Connections in the 1980s
Open Field
The Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, in collaboration with the magazine Spirale, presents the Max and Iris Stern International Symposium at Usine C: Connections in the 1980s: The Internationalization of Art in Quebec (1975–1992).
Focusing on artistic production in Quebec during the “long” 1980s (1975–1992), as well as the discourses and institutions that shaped it, this symposium aims to open up new avenues for reflection through recent research and contribute to laying the foundations for a history of this particularly fertile decade that remains, to this day, only partially documented.
Tënk invites you to discover a selection of five films that resonate with the symposium's themes.
Enjoy the discoveries!
