Synopsis

A film collage that attempts to delineate a concrete, imagined and desired territory that is situated “below and to the left” of the hegemonic world mapping. Photographs taken in Cerro Blanco, an Ecuadorian territory whose protection and destruction are both administered by the Swiss building materials company HOLCIM, meet the voices of rebel radios from Latin America and the Caribbean clamoring for the liberation of the land.

First, a voice speaking French in the right corner
It is strangely familiar
Introduced by high-pitched triumphant violins,
It announces that, in this great adventure,
There is no longer any room for daydreaming
As it fades away under a deafening landslide

However, it is under these low frequencies,
That are mobilized in the left corner,
Some forty-one meters up in the sky
Voices speaking in Spanish
They speak to us of insurrection and solidarity

Little by little, the tuned 7 MHz
Translate into sparkling letters that
Make illuminating trumpets and dancing basses vibrate
Thus restoring color to daydreaming

Then a voice emerges from the territory of the heart
That of Luis Dias

Renversant les slogans hégémoniques,
Nos canta que el espíritu de Liborio está siempre vivo
