A bird takes flight. Fragile, it strikes out against the wind. The bird is just as fragile as Amélie-Jeanne, who must fight every day against the voices that all too often invade her mind. The greatest ally and friend in her family is her father. Having lost his vision a few years ago, he now takes the time to listen to his daughter; that is, when she’s able to speak about herself. Amélie-Jeanne is a quiet girl, often exploring her own imagination, letting her thoughts take flight like the paper birds she likes to make.
The two of them find a certain companionship after many years spent in the same home without really knowing one another. A Bird of Paper is a true story of love between a father and his daughter, each supporting the other. Hand in hand, they realize they are now able to face hard times together.
