Synopsis
The air is humid, the midges itch, everything’s soaked, but it’s okay to cry, so it’s okay.
A word from Tënk
Jonathan Roy wears many hats and devotes much of his time to the Festival acadien de poésie de Caraquet as its artistic director. His vision is intuitive and precise, just like his poetry, and he can easily be found reciting a work in progress at the café, leaving us in awe even before the fruit is ripe and ready to be eaten. Initially the one who invites artists to create video-poems as part of the festival, he is not afraid to join the game himself. Soaké (soaked) features the sea, not merely as an homage to Acadie's most beautiful resource, but because only the rising sea is as powerful as the poet’s pen.
