Synopsis

Lobsters don’t see themselves as red, we’re the ones boiling them alive.

A word from Tënk

Following an invitation from the Festival acadien de poésie de Caraquet and a Moncton-Montreal-Auberge-de-la-Baie journey worthy of a mythological goddess, our favorite Acadian ambassador produces her first video-poem. Morte avant rouge (Dead before red) is a nocturnal tour of a new city, in a new skin, a deep-dive into darkness before the ascension, an echo in the mirror of a love-struck girl, the delayed realization that your uprooting distances you from those you love but brings you closer to who you are, the mouth watering of a seafood buffet before being plunged into boiling water. Xénia Gould captivates us because she writes as we speak, she speaks as we dream, she dreams as we should already know how to live.
