A word from Tënk
Babushka is a film that takes on a whole new dimension in the current political context. By showing the intimacy of her Russian grandmother, the director not only underlines the pain of migration, but also offers a nuanced portrait of a Russian woman, allowing us to leave behind the Manichean visions that emerge in times of war. The film is a testimony filled with tenderness that makes us aware of the fragility and the greatness of family ties.
