One of the programming team's many favorites, Le jour du printemps is a film that is at once touching, intimate, and politically necessary. It also hints at the possibility of a participatory, cellphone-based narrative of the everyday that is cinematically powerful. It is not only a film about bodily transformation and its protagonist's relation to this transformation, but a cinematic encounter between the director and Tom.
